Wayne B. Daniels was born on January 10, 1929, and departed this life after a sudden illness, near his home in Jefferson County, Missouri, on February 3, 2018.
He was born to Roy and Edith (Johnson) Daniels, the third of seven children, in Plato, Missouri. He was united in marriage to his second wife, Janet Faulkner, on April 3, 1967. She survives. His parents, one brother (Roy, Jr.) and two sisters (Betty Jean and Shirley) preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Bob, of Lebanon, Missouri; Pat Knudten, of San Diego, California; and Janice Smith, of Springfield, Missouri. He is also survived by his stepson, Jim Bowlin of Wildwood, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne was best known for three things. He was a lifelong Baptist, having contributed significantly to numerous churches throughout his life. He was a lifelong member of the masonic lodge, having achieved 32 degrees of masonry. He was also an avid and talented craftsman – his woodworks being present in numerous homes throughout Missouri. Most impressive, he was largely self-taught at his woodworking craft.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Friendship Baptist Church, in Cedar Hill, Missouri, at 2 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Friendship Baptist Church, 8827 Highway NN, Cedar Hill, MO 63016.
