Richard Carter Johnson, age 77 (May 07, 1939), from the Yuma, Arizona Foothills passed on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. He joins his beloved wife, Nedra Faye Johnson (Elston) of almost 53 years whom we lost in August 2015. He was born in Cameron, MO, to the late Harold and Dorothy (nee Carter) Johnson. He was a honorably retired veteran of the United States Air Force; retired from McDonnell Douglas of St. Louis, MO, and Data Corp of Charlotte, SC & Denver, CO; and an organ donor. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, the town of Yuma, cigar smoking, playing golf, NASCAR-Dale Sr #3, STL Cardinals baseball, and his four grand-dogs. He will be missed by many who he corresponded with on a regular basis.
Richard is survived by his two daughters: Debbie (husband Dennis) Sparks of DeSoto MO, Tina (husband Greg) Bohrer of St. Peters MO; three grandchildren: Ashley (husband Brad) Crowden, Benn Sparks, Nikki (husband Mike) Wireman; three siblings: sister, Shirley Combs of Cameron MO; brothers, David Johnson of Omaha NE, and Marvin Johnson of Tulsa OK and two sister-in-laws: Erma (husband Stacey) Hutton of Butler, MO, Della (husband Mike) of Cameron, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
