Ralph V. Miller, age 78, of Hillsboro, and formerly of Maplewood, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Jefferson Barracks Medical Center in St. Louis. Ralph was born on August 8, 1936 in Stoddard County, Missouri to the late Ralph Leroy Miller and Pearl Jane (Nee Southerland) Miller-Wortz. Ralph was a boilermaker Welder for Combustion Engineering until his retirement. He did DeSoto "Meals on Wheels", was a security guard at Summer Set Lake and a dedicated St. Louis Cardinal Fan. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in DeSoto.
He leaves behind a loving wife of 42 yrs, Brenda K. (Nee Corder) Miller of DeSoto, sons, Vernon R. (wife, Joy Atkins-Miller) Miller of Union, Michael Thomas (wife, Maria) Miller of St. Peters, daughters, Gwena Jane (husband, Jerry) Sutterer of Perryville, Melissa Dawn (husband, Terrance L.) Harris of Lake St. Louis,Grandchildren, Trisha (Chuck) Stortz, John French, Cody French, Rachael (C.J.) Pruitt, Zachery Miller, Ashley Miller, Ryan Miller, Connor Harris, Kenna Harris, Raymond Miller and Taylor Miller, 9 Great-Grandchildren, brothers, William Leroy (Joyce) Miller of Newburgh, IN, Allen (Pansy) Miller of Highland, IL, sisters, Marilyn (Larry) Jordan of Kingwood, TX, Alice (Sears) King of Peoria, AZ and a daughter-in-law, Georgia Miller of Lemay.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, a son, John Raymond Miller and a sister, Linda Kay Miller. Brother Ron Duncan and Pastor Derrick Jones will officiate the service.
